Located in the beautiful Nelson Bay, 50 minutes from Newcastle.

We are a growing private practice with a good reputation and strong referral base. We currently have clinical psychologists, general psychologists, an accredited mental health social worker and a paediatrician.

We are looking for additional psychologist (or two) to join our team. As a practice we see ages 3yo through to 99+ and we utilise AutPlay/Play therapy, Couples Therapy, COS/Marte Meo, EMDR, and various modalities (CBT, ACT, Narrative, Schema) in addition to completing comprehensive assessments. We are keen to support each clinician's areas of interest and advertise for referrals accordingly.

We also have a high community presence with regular school presentations, guest speaking opportunities and business events and we are driving the newly established 'Port Stephens Unplugged' movement (encouraging parents and adults to reflect on their tech usage and consider the impacts early device introduction is having on the next generation).

Kate is a board approved supervisor with Clinical Endorsement, with an interest in children and families. Peer supervision is run fortnightly for the team,



and external supervision is encouraged to diversify clinical input and meet registration requirements.

Requirements

- Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
- Eligibility for registration as a Medicare provider
- Working With Children Check
- Police Check
- Strong work ethic and commitment to continued professional development
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a team setting
- Ability to positively engage with children, adolescents, and families
- Experience (or motivation to gain experience and knowledge) with a range of presentations such as ADHD, Autism, anxiety disorders, behavioural difficulties, mood disorders, and trauma.
- Timely report and letter-writing skills
- Maintain up-to-date and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

We are in our freshly renovated office and we have part/full-time employment or independent contractor roles available. Competitive renumeration will be discussed at interview. We are flexible with a start-date for a new team member. We can take on a new contractor or employee immediately, or line-up a future start date.
