About the roleand about you

Working closely with stakeholders across SGCH, you will support the development of reports, Power BI dashboards and performance monitoring tools that help managers and leaders understand how services are performing. You will support SGCH's transition to our new housing management platform and the transformation of our reporting and analytics environment, contribute to data quality initiatives, assist with regulatory and operational reporting, and help identify opportunities to improve business processes and outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for turning data into meaningful insights. You will have experience working with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, along with an understanding of data quality, governance and management practices. Experience working with modern data platforms, including Lakehouse environments, will be highly regarded. As SGCH transitions to our new housing management system and evolves its analytics ecosystem, you will be comfortable navigating change and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a contract, full-time position ideally starting mid-October 2026 to 7 May 2027, is based at our Redfern office and requires travel to other SGCH office locations as required.



This role reports to the Insights Manager.

Duties

- Support SGCH’s transition to our new housing management system and the evolution of our reporting, analytics, and data management capabilities.
- Redesign, rebuild, test and document reporting processes, workflows and business rules within the new housing management system.
- Ensure continuity of critical business, operational and regulatory reporting schedules (including PowerBI dashboards), partnering with stakeholders across SGCH to translate business requirements into effective reporting and data solutions.
- Support the migration from task-based administration to automated, scalable and sustainable reporting practices.
- Validate and optimise reporting processes and outputs to support accurate, trusted and efficient decision-making in the recent data environment.

- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in data analytics, applied statistics, or a related field.
- Strong experience generating reports and analyses for compliance and decision-making, strong attention to detail with a focus on process and quality control, and experience in technical reporting, data visualisation, and analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualisation tools like Power BI, Tableau or similar. Strong skills in Excel and SQL and familiarity with databases. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and an ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. Able to leverage data for decision making and a proactive approach to improving processes and automating tasks.
- Ability to work with a business acumen and a social heart with self-motivation, compassion and resilience to manage competing priorities, deadlines and multiple stakeholders, to continuously improve, and deliver the best outcomes for the business and customers.
