CK Recruitment are currently working with our Local Government Client to assist in filling the role of Trade Assistant.

This is a Varied role where you may be assisting the workshop in maintaining councils vehicles and equipment.

Your Duties may include but not be limited to:

- Undertake a range of labouring activities associated with, vehicle maintanence, plant equipment, washing vehicles, tyre fitting.
- Apply computer generated transfers for a range of signs to meet Council and customer needs
- Complete all paperwork associated with this role
- Be able to adapt to changing work priorities to ensure delivery of value for money for services
- Provide feedback and input on improvements in operating procedures, programs and work schedules, including upgrading or improvements to plant, equipment, materials and tools used by the team.
- Participate in the ongoing development of a safe, cooperative and supportive workplace that delivers best value, community orientated services to the city of Blacktown.

- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- White Card
- HR License

Experience

- Demonstrated experience in labouring activities
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in labouring activities is required
- HR Truck driving experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of HR truck driving experience is required
- Heavy vehicle and plant maintanence
- Minimum 1-2 years of heavy vehicle and plant maintenance experience is required
- Demonstrated experience in minor maintenance works

- Technical knowledge of Councils spray painting equipment for line marking and spray overs of fences
- Monitor the stock levels of materials for the graffiti removal process
- Technical working knowledge of paint products and their applications , including graffiti coatings
- Technical working knowledge of graffiti removal products and their applications in different situations and on different surfaces to ensure maximum removal of grafitti
