Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club – Banksia Beach QLD

We are currently seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a qualified Greenkeeper to ensure the meticulous care and maintenance of one of Queensland’s premier golf course destinations, Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club. Our club is located in the Moreton Bay region between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, surrounded by Bribie Islands pristine national parks and inhabited by local wildlife. Our team prides itself on creating lasting impressions amongst our staff, customers, community and industry. As a key member of our team, the successful applicant will work on a diverse range of activities including, but not limited to;

- Routine turf maintenance such as mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough and surrounds.
- General ground maintenance using handheld equipment, raking and maintenance of bunkers, edging, trimming and walk mowing.
- Monitor, operate and maintain pressurised irrigation systems, including reporting malfunctions.
- Safe operation of ride on machinery, hand-held equipment, and utility vehicles for mowing, hauling material & removing debris




- Undertake golf course setup procedures and other relevant duties.
- Prepare and apply safe chemical handling methods in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements where qualified to do so.

Role Requirements:

- Drivers license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical. Physical tasks include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance or horticulture is preferred, entry-level applicants with a passion for golf course management and an eagerness to learn may be considered.
- A basic understanding of agronomy, turf management, and golf course operations.
- Familiarity with equipment and maintenance practices used in golf course greenkeeping.
- Knowledge of and commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the protected use and application of chemicals.
