We are currently looking for a self-motivated, energetic Farm Manager to join our team.

Riviera Farms is seeking an experienced and driven Farm Managerto lead our commercial vegetable production operation in Bundaberg. This is the senior operational role on the farm and offers an exciting chance to take ownership of a high-performing farming business focused on producing premium-quality vegetables and baby leaf crops.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the farm team, driving operational excellence, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all day-to-day farm operations.

Recruit, train, mentor and develop farm staff while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.

Plan and oversee crop production from planting through to harvest.

Manage the production of vegetables and baby leaf crops to consistently achieve high quality and yield targets.

Develop and implement irrigation, nutrition, pest and disease management programs in conjunction with the agronomy team.

Monitor crop performance and make timely management decisions to maximise productivity.

Manage labour, machinery and other resources efficiently to optimise farm performance.

Understand production costs and work within budgets to achieve financial objectives.

Analyse operational data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and profitability.

Ensure machinery, equipment and farm infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.

Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety,



food safety, quality assurance and environmental standards.

Work closely with senior management to achieve the strategic goals of the business.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Proven experience managing a commercial vegetable farming operation.

Strong knowledge of vegetable production, with experience in baby leaf crops highly regarded.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing and motivating teams.

Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.

A sound understanding of crop production, irrigation, plant nutrition, pest and disease management.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs, budgets and resources effectively.

The ability to analyse problems, make informed decisions and implement practical solutions.

A proactive attitude with the ability to self-manage and lead by example.

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality outcomes.
