A PLUS Agency is looking for an Expereinced Baker for our client Martin's Bakery.

Martin's Bakery in beautiful Ballina, NSW is seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Baker to join our busy team. Known by locals as a premier spot for the best pies, golden-flaky pastries, and fresh bread in the region, we take great pride in baking everything fresh on-site daily. Position details: Full time

Location: 92 Tamar Street, Ballina NSW 2478 (Tamar Village)

Salary: 75,000 to 85,000 plus super

Key Responsibilities

- Bake our signature fresh breads, artisanal loaves, block loaves, and dinner rolls from scratch.
- Manage dough fermentation, proofing times, and temperature controls for consistent results.
- Mix, scale, mould, and shape high-quality doughs efficiently.
- Operate commercial dough mixers, dividers, and deck or rack ovens safely.
- Monitor raw ingredient stock levels (flour, yeast, grains) and maintain strict food safety standards.
- Manage high-volume production schedules to keep up with our bustling lunchtime trade.
- Maintain strict food hygiene, stock rotation, and workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.
- Collaborate closely with our counter staff to ensure showcase shelves remain fully stocked.

Requirements

- Trade-qualified baker (Certificate III in Baking or equivalent experience).
- At least 1 - 3 years of experience as a Baker,



in a commercial bakery environment.
- Proven commercial baking experience, ideally specializing in bread making.
- Reliability to handle early morning shift starts efficiently.
- Physical capability to stand for long hours and lift heavy bakery raw ingredients.
- Strong team focus and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have rights to work in Australia on a Full time basis.
- Successful candidates must be willing to work early morning shifts and work the weekends.
