Vegies Unlimited specialises in Fruit & Vegetables. We have a retail outlet serving the general public and a wholesale depot where we pack orders for businesses such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, hospitals and accommodation camps.
You have the chance to become a valued member of our team as a Storeperson/ Forklift Driver.
Role Description includes but is not limited to:
- Unloading pallets of stock and packing into cold room
- Label incoming stock with batch codes
- Quality control and stock rotation
- Picking of orders for hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs
- Cleaning & maintaining a neat & tidy work environment
- Manual handling and other warehouse duties are required
Hours of work
The position is casual with the prospect to move to full time after a qualifying period
Early start required
Selection Criteria:
- Food industry knowledge and experience (Fruit & Vegetable industry preferred)
- Ability to multi-task
- Reasonably fit as some heavy lifting is involved
- Valid Forklift licence and experience
Special knowledge/skills that would be an advantage to the business
- Ability to prioritise work
- Ability to supervise staff
- Delivery driving experience
Training and upskilling will be provided for the successful applicant.
