Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook high-quality Japanese dishes, ensuring all meals are presented and served to a consistently high standard.
- Plan and develop seasonal menus while considering food costs, customer preferences, and ingredient availability.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Supervise,



coordinate and support kitchen staff to maintain a productive and positive working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, order food supplies and kitchen equipment, and minimise waste.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A formal trade qualification in Commercial Cookery.
- At least one year of experience preparing Japanese cuisine in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for Japanese cuisine, food presentation and quality.
- A positive, reliable and team-oriented attitude.
- Full Australian work rights. Overseas applications will not be considered.
