- Day shift Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm (long-term)
- Pay rate of $34ph (including 25% casual loading)
Programmed are currently seeking production / assembly workers to join their client in Epping who specialize in the manufacturing of modular plastic conveyer belting.
This position requires Monday - Friday availability on day shift from 7:30am - 3:30pm, (sometimes you will be required to work overtime and do 6:30am starts or 4:30pm finishes. They also occasionally have 4 hour overtime shifts on Saturdays). Successful applicants must have previous production or assembly experience and must have full work rights long-term as this is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Job Requirements:
- Detail-oriented, team player, communicator, and problem-solver.
- Ability to understand and make recommendations to improve current processes and procedures.
- Capable of working in a energetic environment and under pressure to meet deadlines and reach day-to-day performance goals.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess a high level of urgency in order to support Intralox's high service levels and operational efficiency goals.
- Self-managed mentality with a sense of ownership.
- Small parts assembly experience is an advantage.
Duties / responsibilities involved:
- Retrieve and interpret work orders.
- Retrieve boxes of modules needed from the staging area by pulling/pushing on carts.
- Lift and carry boxes (20kgs) needed for fabrication of conveyor belts to different locations of the work area.
- Assemble and inspect samples of specified belts.
- Manipulate modules and rods together as one unit.
- Construct conveyor belts of various sizes and makes.
- Perform quality control of the produced product by verifying the sample created by the work order.
- Ensure all jobs are transacted correctly in the system.
- Perform final check on all work completed, ensuring that all cuts are of the correct quantity and quality.
