Your Opportunity
As The Implementation Lead, Digital Transformation Program You Will
- Lead multiple projects within the Digital Transformation Program, including initiatives relating to Microsoft collaboration, business process automation, data and analytics protection, information management, digital workplace technologies and compliance improvements, and organisation-wide digital capability uplift.
- Ensure that the Digital Transformation Program projects are delivered within the agreed parameters, with effective governance and organisational management activities. Provide delivery leadership to assigned projects, supporting governance forums through accurate reporting, informed recommendations, proactive issue escalation and implementation oversight.
This position reports to the Program Manager, Digital Transformation Program.
This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 27 August 2027 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide delivery leadership for assigned Digital Transformation Program projects and work packages from initiation through to completion, ensuring implementation activities remain aligned to agreed outcomes, priorities, timelines and business objectives.
- Translate program and project direction into practical implementation activity, including clear sequencing, task breakdown, ownership, dependencies, resourcing needs,
delivery priorities and next-step actions as well as exercise delegated authority to make implementation and delivery decisions within approved project tolerances, resolving operational issues and escalating strategic, financial or scope decisions where required.
- Develop, maintain and own fit-for-purpose implementation documents, including plans, schedules, action registers, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, status updates and governance inputs to support transparent delivery control.
- Drive delivery momentum by identifying what needs to happen next, following up owners, resolving blockers within delegation, escalating early where decisions or support are required, and ensuring agreed actions are completed within required timeframes.
- Manage internal teams, vendors, project managers, technical specialists, business representatives, customer experience, user adoption and change resources to ensure implementation activities are practical and aligned to business readiness needs.
- Manage all stakeholder engagement, communications and change activities required to support successful adoption of recent digital solutions, processes, tools or ways of working.
- Contribute to the definition, validation and management of business, technical and operational requirements, ensuring implementation outcomes are clearly understood, achievable and aligned to program objectives.
- Actively manage vendor, supplier and internal delivery performance against agreed activities, milestones and deliverables, holding delivery partners accountable for commitments, identifying emerging delivery risks and escalating concerns where intervention is required.
- Own the preparation and management of governance documents, reporting, actions, decisions and escalations for assigned projects and work packages, ensuring governance bodies receive accurate information, recommendations and decision points required to support delivery outcomes.

How You Will Be Assessed
- Demonstrated ability to own complex implementation activities end-to-end, take initiative, identify what needs to happen next and deliver outcomes with limited supervision in a dynamic project or program environment.
- Well-developed project and implementation management capability, including the ability to create, maintain and actively use delivery plans, schedules, action registers, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, reporting and governance inputs to drive accountability.
- Proven ability to lead and influence internal resources, vendors and business stakeholders, maintaining accountability, resolving delivery challenges and driving successful implementation outcomes across multiple concurrent work packages.
- High level communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including the ability to translate delivery detail into clear updates, decisions, risks and recommendations for project and program governance forums.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer-focused service delivery, organisational change, collaboration and continuous improvement, while modelling TAFE Queensland’s values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Experience supporting or leading ICT, digital transformation, implementation, change or business improvement initiatives in a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to use project controls, reporting tools, registers, dashboards or collaboration platforms to track work, follow up owners, maintain accountability and support governance reporting.
- Relevant project, change, agile, business analysis or service management qualifications, certifications or equivalent practical experience would be highly regarded.
