St Laurence's College is a Catholic School for boys in the Edmund Rice Tradition with an enrolment of over 2,000boys from Years 5-12.
Applications are invited for a permanent, full time Maintenance Officer to join our Facilities & Maintenance team at the College, commencing immediately. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm. There might also be some work outside these hours, if required.
The Maintenance Officer reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure support to the College's teaching and learning activities and other operations to promote a high standard of presentation and functionality of the College grounds. The Maintenance Officer will undertake various building, facility and grounds maintenance tasks, comply with Workplace Health and Safety and complete ad hoc tasks.
The successful candidate would need to meet some of the following criteria:
Some experience in a groundsman or maintenance position
A Trade qualification would be desirable, but not essential
Hold a current Driver’s Licence and/or LR (Light Rigid) Vehicle Licence
Have a current First Aid Certificate, or willing to complete this
Tag and Testing Certification, would be favourable
Hold a current Blue Card; or be eligible to apply for a Suitability Card for working with children.
