Clark Rubber Maitland is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Casual Sales Assistant. This is a casual position based in East Maitland NSW 2323. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service whilst helping customers find the right products for their needs. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming shopping environment and driving sales through knowledgeable product recommendations and genuine customer engagement.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and assisting them with product selection across our range of rubber and related products
- Providing accurate product information and expert advice to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Processing transactions efficiently and accurately at the point of sale
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked retail environment
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Supporting stock management activities, including receiving, unpacking and displaying merchandise
- Promoting special offers, new products and loyalty programmes to customers
- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
- A friendly, approachable demeanour and genuine passion for helping customers




- Reliability and the ability to work flexibly to accommodate casual shift patterns
- Basic numeracy skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems
- Physical ability to lift, carry and stack merchandise safely
- Willingness to learn about products and develop product knowledge
- A team player mentality with a positive attitude towards workplace collaboration
