Operations Training & Competency Specialist

We’re looking for a hands-on, operational learning specialist to lead the design and delivery of technical learning programs across our warehouse and transport operations. Reporting to the HR Director, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to improve efficiencies in learning delivery and compliance and provide support to site-based trainers to ensure alignment and consistency of training delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement operational training programs across warehouse and logistics functions
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training documentation
- Collaborate across our Distribution Centres to streamline and improve learning delivery efficiency
- Build structured learning pathways, competency frameworks and refresher programs aligned to operational needs
- Support and guide site-based trainers, driving best practice in adult learning, on-the-job training and competency assessment
- Coordinate national training rollouts and initiatives
- Partner with site leaders to identify training gaps and uplift capability
- Use operational insights, incident data and feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness
- Support a strong safety culture through consistent and high-quality training standards
About You:
- Experience designing and coordinating training programs in logistics, supply chain, distribution or manufacturing environments
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment or Bachelor of Education or equivalent
- Strong understanding of frontline operations,
safety /compliance requirements and how to engage shift- based teams
- Proven ability to work across multiple sites and influence without direct authority
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- A continuous improvement mindset and focus on real behavioural outcomes
- Experience with LMS and digital training tools, plus solid Microsoft Office capability
- Willingness to undertake infrequent, planned travel and support our standard working hours as required
