Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in the design, fabrication, and supply of high-quality steel infrastructure products used across the utilities, telecommunications, transport, lighting, and construction industries. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service, they are continuing to grow and are looking for a Workshop Maintenance Officer to join their team.
As a Workshop & Maintenance Officer, you’ll be responsible for preparing raw materials and components for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials in accordance with production cutting lists.
- Operate equipment including bandsaws, croppers, drills, linishers, and sandblasting equipment.
- Produce components to required quality standards and specifications.
- Carry out routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Report equipment faults and maintenance requirements.
- Assist with general factory maintenance and housekeeping.
About You
We’re looking for people who:
- Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Have positive attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks safely while maintaining a solid focus on workplace safety.
- Hold a current forklift licence.
- Have previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, fabrication, or industrial experience (preferred but not essential).
