Ultimate Fleet Maintenance is a growing mechanical workshop based in Hemmant, servicing a wide range of trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles around the Port of Brisbane and surrounding areas. We're a tight-knit team that values quality workmanship, reliability, and a down-to-earth work environment. We take pride in doing the job properly and backing our team with the support they need. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.

The Role

This is a full-time position based primarily in our Hemmant workshop, with occasional field service work as required. You'll be working across a variety of trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles, carrying out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles
- Carry out mechanical inspections and fault finding
- Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas
- Complete job notes and documentation to a high standard
- Work both independently and as part of a team




- Assist with the day to day operations of the workshop and assisting other trades/ apprentices where required
- Occasional field service work (vehicle provided when required)

What We're Looking For

- Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- HR licence preferred
- Previous experience preferred – newer mechanics are welcome to apply, but experienced applicants will be prioritised
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence
