As an Evidence Services Analyst, you will contribute to work that underpins the integrity of Australia's criminal justice system. Working within a collaborative and skilled team, you will support the effective management, analysis and coordination of evidentiary material, ensuring information is handled accurately, securely and in accordance with the legislative and organisational requirements.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in areas such as data analysis, records and information management, project administration, statistics, business support, governance, compliance, research or other roles that involve interpreting information, maintaining accurate records and working with complex datasets or documentation. Experience in legal or law enforcement environments is valuable but not essential.

You have a methodical approach, a strong eye for detail and are motivated by producing accurate, high-quality work in an environment where integrity and accountability matter.
The key duties of the position include:
Reporting to the National Manager for Evidence Service, in addition to meeting the Integrated Leadership System profile of the APS5, primary outcomes and accountabilities will involve:
- Undertaking with skill and initiative data processing tasks including metadata, data and electronic file manipulation using electronic tools such as Excel, MS Access,
Adobe Acrobat, databases and related technologies;
- Assisting with the preparation, compilation and reproduction of bundles/reports/exports within a database;
- Providing advice, support, and assistance to legal and non-legal staff in relation to data review in line with jurisdictional requirements and CDPP Policies;
- Managing workload in accordance with agreed service levels and key performance indicators;
- Developing plans and objectives for short-term tasks or long-term initiatives; and
- Performing other special projects or duties as required.
Eligibility
- All employees at the CDPP are required to obtain and maintain satisfactory police check and an AGSVA Baseline security clearance (as a minimum)
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire proficiency with new IT systems
- Experience in employing databases in litigation is desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable
