What we're looking for

We're seeking Perioperative Nurses to join our team in Westmead. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care during the admissions process, surgical procedures, and the recovery phase.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with the preparation and set-up of the operating theatre
- Collaborating and assisting the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow




- Monitoring patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgical procedures
- Providing compassionate and attentive nursing care to patients in the recovery room
- Documenting all relevant patient information and ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
- Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations and policies

About you

- Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse with a current practising certificate
- Experience in perioperative fields, Admissions, Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout, and Recovery
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Flexibility to adapt to the demands of a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Commitment to the growth of our department
