What’s the role?

Want to make a real impact across one of Australia's largest financial institutions? Join our Enterprise Functions Assurance team and help strengthen the way Westpac manages risk across Finance, People, Legal & Secretariat, Group Sustainability and Risk.

As a Manager, you'll support independent assurance reviews that provide valuable insights into how risks are identified, managed and remediated. You'll explore end to end processes, test controls, uncover opportunities for improvement and work closely with stakeholders from across the organisation. No two reviews are the same, giving you exposure to a broad range of business activities and helping you build a well-rounded risk and assurance skillset.

Work type: Permanent, Full time, Hybrid

What do I need?

4+ years' experience in assurance, internal audit, operational risk, or risk advisory, ideally within banking or financial services

Experience assessing risks, controls, and remediation outcomes, including control design and operating effectiveness testing

Strong critical thinking and ability to provide independent review and constructive challenge

Experience conducting root cause analysis and identifying systemic issues, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities

Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex findings into explicit insights





Experience performing data analytics-based testing or automated control testing is highly desirable
