This hands‑on role combines feature delivery, application maintenance and defect resolution across the UI and database layers. The successful candidate will work closely with users, managers, BAs, testers and teammates to understand business needs, communicate clearly and translate requirements into reliable, maintainable software.

Core Responsibilities

Additional Contributions

- Use AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to improve delivery productivity and product quality, consistent with AGI's AI‑enabled delivery approach.
- Identify practical improvements, explain their value and trade‑offs, obtain alignment and implement agreed changes.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, UAT, releases and necessary routine maintenance or delivery‑support work, including data investigation and correction when required.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Strong commercial experience in C#/.NET.
- Hands‑on experience building and maintaining WPF desktop applications (XAML, MVVM, data binding).

- Advanced SQL Server skills — writing and optimising stored procedures, functions and complex queries.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar), with concrete examples of improved delivery productivity or product quality.
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills spanning both UI and database layers, with ownership of quality through thorough testing before UAT.
- Customer‑focused approach that seeks to understand the need behind requirements and help users get the best outcome from the software.
- Proactive, clear communicator who works effectively with users, managers and delivery teammates, organises work around agreed priorities and seeks help or clarification early when needed.
- Sound professional judgement: raises concerns and alternatives constructively, respects business priorities and decision rights, and supports agreed decisions.
- Pragmatic improvement mindset: reliably completes necessary routine maintenance and delivery‑support work while proposing proportionate improvements and implementing them once agreed.

Desirable Skills

- Experience in Life insurance, financial services or another regulated industry.
