Our client is a major NSW government authority that is responsible for building and managing themission critical communications for emergency, essential and government services
This role supports the expansion and enhancement of the Public Safety Network, delivering increased outdoor and in-building coverage to ensure reliable critical communications for emergency services and government agencies across NSW
Role Description:
The TelecommunicationsConstruction Project Managerwill be engaged on a long term contract to coordinate the delivery of telecommunications infrastructure projects - managing contractors, schedules, risks and stakeholder relationships to achieve successful project outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and govern contractor, construction vendor and supplier performance against project milestones (ensure delivery to KPI's and SLA's)
- Manage project schedules, risks, issues and escalations
- Resource coordination
- Coordinate change requests and project variations.
- Support construction planning and resource coordination.
- Coordinate any project dependencies with engineering, commercial and operational teams to ensure timely delivery against scheduled forecasts.
- Ensure projects achieve safety, budget and delivery objectives
Skills and Experience:
- Experienced end-end project manager with a robust background in telecommunications, construction or large scale infrastructure programs
- Experience managing delivery partners
- Strong documentation skills (reporting, handover packs etc)
- Public Safety Network (PSN) or critical communications knowledge is advatageous
- Experience overseeing material ordering, scheduling, capital works, dependencies, Free Issue Material, suppliers, subcontractors, change requests costs
- In-Building Coverage (IBC)experience an advantage
- Project 25 (P25) experience or knowledge is helpful
- Strong adherence to safety is key - competency in managing SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
