A leading national wharf cartage business is seeking experienced Fleet Controllers to join its busy operations team based in Chullora.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and has proven experience coordinating container and wharf cartage operations across the Sydney metropolitan area.

About the Role

Working closely with drivers, customers and the operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, ensuring efficient fleet utilization and delivering exceptional service while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage a fleet of container trucks operating across Sydney

- Allocate and monitor driver movements throughout the shift

- Plan and optimise daily work schedules





- Liaise with drivers, customers and port operations to ensure on-time deliveries and collections

- Monitor vehicle productivity and respond quickly to operational issues

- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and company procedures

- Maintain accurate transport records and communicate effective shift handovers

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Fleet Controller, Allocator or Transport Scheduler

- Essential: Strong knowledge of Sydney wharf cartage and container transport operations

- Experience coordinating container movements to and from Port Botany

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure

- Strong computer skills and experience using transport management systems

- A proactive attitude with a strong customer service focus
