We are a rapidly expanding civil construction and recycling business in South East Queensland, delivering major projects in earthworks, civil works, demolition, and recycling. With a modern fleet and a strong pipeline of work, we have outgrown our family business roots and are building better systems and processes while keeping our close-knit culture. This is a great time to join and grow with us.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, proactive Office Administrator to work in head office and support our growing operations. You will be the go‑to person for site staff and internal teams, handling a wide variety of daily tasks with a robust focus on getting things done.
This role suits someone who is highly organised, enjoys variety, and isn’t afraid to chase information or people when needed. You will need to be really good at your job — a busy role, where to be proactive and resourceful is essential.
Experience or knowledge within the earthmoving, civil construction, demolition, or material sales industries would be highly regarded. While this is not essential, it would be advantageous and help you hit the ground running. We are ultimately looking for the right person with the right attitude, values, and willingness to learn, and we are happy to provide support and training to the successful applicant.
If you thrive on hard work, enjoy helping people, and want to be part of a family business that’s now too big to be called that as we (and you!) evolve into a larger professional operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking and managing vehicles for all job sites, including reallocation and documentation.
- Management of Materials
- Handle queries from site staff including wages, timesheets, and invoicing
- Answer phones, manage incoming enquiries and direct them to the right person
- Process and chase paperwork, following up with staff until everything is received
- Work across Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and various software applications
- Investigate and learn new systems and software as required
- Maintain accurate records with a strong eye for detail
- Support the smooth running of admin functions across multiple sites
What You’ll Bring
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Confidence using and learning new computer software applications
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- Great organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Proactive attitude — not afraid to chase people or follow up firmly
- Experience in construction or a similar industry is highly regarded
- Ability to work hard, manage variety, and get things over the line
What We Offer
- Varied and busy role in a fast-growing business
- Opportunity to work with contemporary systems and support real projects
- Long‑term stability and potential for growth as the company expands
- Supportive, family-oriented team culture
- Market-competitive salary commensurate with experience
A great opportunity for someone who wants to get hands‑on and really involved in the day-to‑day operations of a quick-growing Civil Construction, Recycling and Earthmoving company. We are invested in our team and actively support your professional development and skill growth as we grow together
