About the Role

Reporting to the Service Team Leader, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of a broad range of food processing, packaging and inspection equipment.

Based in Brisbane, the role involves regular customer site visits throughout the metropolitan area, with some intrastate and interstate travel as required. You'll work alongside an experienced team of service professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional technical support and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

- Installing, commissioning and maintaining automated food processing, packaging and inspection equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Communicating effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to provide regular project and service updates.
- Preparing accurate installation and service reports.
- Identifying opportunities for equipment improvements and collaborating with engineering teams to develop practical solutions.
- Meeting installation schedules and project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
- Delivering customer training and ongoing technical support.

About You





- You are a hands-on mechanical professional who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently and building strong customer relationships. You take pride in delivering quality workmanship and are committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Machinist with at least five years' post-trade experience.
- Field service experience, ideally within food processing, packaging or automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong stainless steel fabrication and TIG welding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering and pneumatic drawings.
- Electrical fault-finding experience or a Restricted Electrical License (highly regarded but not essential—training will be provided).
- Experience working with HMIs and OEM software interfaces.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and diagnostic abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- A valid Australian Driver License and Forklift License.
