We are looking for a Test Baker to join our team at our Manildra site. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the intersection of baking and innovation, helping shape and improve products used across the industry.

About the Role

As our Test Baker, you'll play a hands-on role in developing, testing and refining our flour and bakery products across both bread and cake applications. Working closely with our R&D; team, you'll bring recipes to life and ensure products perform consistently in real-world bakery environments.

What You'll Be Doing

- Conduct test baking and evaluate performance of flour and bakery products
- Collaborate with R&D; to trial new and improved formulations
- Develop and adjust scratch recipes to meet application needs
- Accurately record results, observations and data
- Carry out testing within a Quality Control Laboratory environment
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised bakery workspace




- Care for and perform basic maintenance on bakery equipment

About You

You're a hands-on baking professional who thrives on detail, enjoys learning, and takes pride in your work. You're naturally curious and interested in how ingredients behave and interact.

To be successful, you will have:

- A Trade Qualification in Baking, Pastry Food Technology, Food Science or Home Economics (or nearing completion)
- Experience working with both bread and cake products (preferred)
- Robust understanding of ingredient functionality (flour, yeast, sugars, fats, improvers, etc.)
- Confidence working from scratch recipes
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- A reliable, honest and flexible approach to work
- A willingness to learn and collaborate across teams
