Short Description
Conduct passive fire audits, inspections and compliance assessments across commercial, industrial and data centre environments. Manage site inspections, liaise with clients, prepare detailed reports and provide technical advice on passive fire compliance and remediation requirements. Employing more than 245 staff, the business continues to experience strong growth across commercial construction, industrial facilities, high-rise developments and major data centre projects.
With a growing pipeline of passive fire audits and compliance work, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business investing heavily in the expansion of its Passive Fire division.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Manager - Passive Fire, you will play a key role in delivering passive fire inspections, compliance assessments and audit services across a diverse range of buildings and facilities.
This position offers significant autonomy and will suit a technically minded professional who enjoys site-based work, client engagement and helping clients achieve compliance outcomes.
You will work closely with clients, property owners, contractors and internal teams while delivering accurate reports and recommendations in accordance with relevant building codes and standards.
Duties
- Conduct passive fire inspections and compliance audits
- Assess service penetrations, control joints and compartmentation systems
- Inspect lightweight construction and structural fire rating systems
- Review Fire Engineering Reports, compartment plans and building registers
- Manage site inspections and site access requirements
- Produce detailed assessment reports within required timeframes
- Utilise Uptick software for task management and reporting
- Explain defects, compliance issues and repair requirements to clients
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of passive fire standards, regulations and products
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and relevant building regulations
Skills & Experience
- Previous Passive Fire, Fire Protection or Building Compliance experience
- Strong understanding of passive fire systems and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting inspections, audits or technical assessments
- Strong report writing and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site visits
- Experience using digital reporting systems such as Uptick is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
- Current Driver's Licence
