An exciting opportunity has come up for clinician interested in leading a dynamic, research focused Child and Youth Inpatient Unit as the NUM level 3. Brolga is part of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service at Northern Sydney Local Health District. The position is part of a supportive CYMHS executive team and sits on various committee for strategic planning of the service giving the candidate great opportunities for leadership growth and development.

Where you'll be working

Brolga is situated at Hornsby Hospital site.

What you'll be doing

The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team with own child and adolescent work experience, skill set and knowledge.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a recent service delivery model within an established service.
