Our client is a leading Tier 2 commercial contractor with a strong presence across Australia's east coast. Delivering projects across the commercial, health, education and industrial sectors, they have a strong pipeline of work and are looking to add an experienced Contracts Manager to lead their team.
Description
- Lead the commercial delivery of the project, working closely with the Delivery teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Oversee the full subcontract lifecycle, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, progress claims and final accounts.
- Review and negotiate subcontract agreements while ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project.
- Mentor and lead the onsite commercial team, providing guidance and support to Contracts Administrators.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, clients and key stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs, forecasting, budgets and cash flow, while identifying and managing commercial risk.
Profile
- 5+ years' experience as a Senior Contract Administrator or Contracts Manager in Commercial Construction
- Proven experience in large commercial projects upwards of $60 million
- Must have Australian experience for market knowledge
- Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contracts, and commercial risk management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage high-value projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline
