Our client, an independent statutory agency dedicated to supporting Australians with significant disability, require the services of a Senior Data Engineer (APS6 equivalent).

Duties of the Senior Data Engineer:

- Develop, maintain, and optimise enterprise data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical code;
- Define and maintain data modelling, peer review, development, and release standards;
- Lead technical implementation activities from requirements analysis through to deployment and operational support;
- Develop and maintain SQL analytical and ETL code supporting enterprise reporting and analytics and optimise and tune SQL code to improve performance and efficiency.

Skills required:

- Proven experience developing and supporting enterprise data warehouse and data integration solutions.
- Competency in at least two platforms such as MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.




- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SAS, R, or Java alongside SQL.
- Experience working in DevOps environments with version control and software delivery practices.

Desirable experience includes working with AWS cloud services (S3, Glue), enterprise analytics platforms, metadata-driven frameworks, and Agile delivery environments.
