Position Available:

Z&M; FOODS PTY LTD (Mary’s Bao and Dumplings) is seeking dedicated FULL-TIME Kitchenhands to join our team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, organise ingredients, and support the cooking team during busy service periods. You will also ensure all kitchen equipment and workstations are kept hygienic and safe, in line with food safety standards.

Candidates with prior experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment will be highly regarded. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills while joining a team committed to delivering high-quality, authentic Chinese cuisine.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare fresh ingredients daily - chop vegetables, peel,



portion meats, and prep fillings for our dumplings and bao
- Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks such as frying spring rolls, wontons, and tempura prawns, boiling dumplings, and plating dishes
- Set up workstations before service and pack down thoroughly after each shift
- Pack takeaway and delivery orders carefully, ensuring correct labelling and spill-proof sealing
- Monitor stock levels and restock ingredients, wrappers, sauces, and chilled drinks during busy periods
- Wash dishes, pots, and pans; keep all kitchen surfaces clean and organised
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage of perishable items

Requirements:

- AQF Certificate I, or compulsory secondary education
- Have at least one year of full-time (38 hours per week) relevant work experience undertaken in the last five (5) years
- Meticulous about cleanliness, portion control, and following standard procedures.
