Ausita Carpentry & Building pty ltd is seeking a talented and motivated 1st/2nd year apprentice carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis in Narellan, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your carpentry skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople whilst working on diverse residential and commercial projects. As an apprentice, you will gain hands‑on experience in all aspects of carpentry, from framing and joinery to finishing work, whilst completing your formal apprenticeship qualifications. This role is fundamental to your development as a skilled tradesperson and offers a genuine pathway to a rewarding career in the carpentry industry.

What you’ll be doing

- Assisting experienced carpenters on a variety of residential and commercial building projects
- Learning and practising fundamental carpentry techniques including measuring, cutting, fitting and installing timber components
- Preparing and maintaining tools and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency on site
- Following specifications and drawings accurately to construct timber frameworks, floors, roofs and wall structures
- Assisting with interior carpentry work including door hanging, skirting boards, architraves and other finishing details
- Undertaking manual handling and site labouring tasks as required
- Contributing to a safe and professional work setting by adhering to workplace health and safety regulations
- Attending and participating in relevant training courses as part of your apprenticeship programme
- Collaborating with other team members and trades to ensure projects run smoothly and on schedule

What we’re looking for

- Currently enrolled in or recently commenced a carpentry apprenticeship programme (1st or 2nd year)
- A genuine passion for carpentry and building trades with a strong desire to learn and develop practical skills
- Reliable, punctual and committed to completing your apprenticeship qualification




- Good physical fitness and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to interpret drawings and measurements accurately
- Willingness to follow instructions and take guidance from experienced tradespeople
- A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Preferably some prior experience in construction, DIY projects, or related hands‑on work
- Ability to obtain or hold a valid White Card or equivalent construction safety induction card (or willingness to obtain one)
