About Opportunity

Our client is seeking multiple Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineers to join a critical Infrastructure Platforms team within a large Federal Government ICT environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for the deployment, administration, support, optimisation, and future direction of enterprise storage systems and Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure. The role also includes producing technical documentation, mentoring team members, and contributing to the ongoing stability and security of critical infrastructure platforms.

This is an excellent prospect to work with leading enterprise storage technologies in a highly complex environment supporting data centres, virtualisation platforms, backup and recovery systems, and storage infrastructure services.

Security & Eligibility Requirements

- Australian Citizenship is required.




- Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
- Ability to work primarily on-site in Canberra, ACT.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, administer, and optimise enterprise storage platforms.
- Manage and support Storage Area Network (SAN) environments and SAN switches.
- Monitor, tune, troubleshoot, and maintain storage infrastructure and associated technologies.
- Produce high-quality design, build, operational, and handover documentation.
- Support backup, recovery, and data protection platforms.
- Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of emerging storage technologies.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team members.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance activities and occasional on-call support as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Demonstrated experience in the design, administration, tuning, and troubleshooting of one or more of the following technologies:

- HPE 3PAR
- Dell Data Domain
- Brocade Fabric Switches
- SANnav
- Scality Artesca

Additional Skills

- Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Strong understanding of enterprise storage, Fibre Channel, and SAN architectures.
- Proven ability to create design, build, and operational documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to mentor and coach technical team members.
