Southern Liquid Waste is a family owned business looking for a full time Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team and operate our MR & HR/HC Vacuum Trucks. Our HR truck can tow a pig trailer, so HC licence will be a bonus. We operate in the liquid waste industry, as such the day to day duties include but are not limited to pumping out septic tanks, treatment systems, grease traps, J120 Oily waste and occaisonally portaloos.
Our yard is based in South Nowra, with overtime as required during the week and minimal to no weekends usually. Occasional early starts are required for grease trap servicing runs. We service the Sholahaven, Wollongong, Southern Highlands and Eurobodalla regions.
Due to the early start times required to service grease traps, start time may vary from 3am to 6am. We aim to keep start times as consistent as possible to minimise disruption.
The successful applicant must :
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Be able to pass police checks incase of defense works
- Have a white card
- Reasonbly fit
- HR licence minimum, MR licence will be considered based on prior experince with Vacuum trucks or experinece in the liquid waste industry. HC licence is Ideal
- Willingess to Upgrade licence to HC
- Prior knowledge of vacuum trucks, septic and grease systems is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
