As a data graduate, you will contribute to data-driven projects that support policy, improve services and inform decision-making across government.
Locations: Multiple locations
Office arrangement: Hybrid and on-site
Duration: Full time employment, 12 months
Salary: $69,761 - $94,270

To be eligible for the Data Stream in the Australian Government Graduate Program (AGGP), you must provide evidence of the following:
- Have completed at least an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 qualification (a Bachelor degree), or higher equivalent by 31 December 2026.
- Have completed your most recent eligible qualification between 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2026
- Be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a valid Australian Government security clearance if required.
- Be willing to undergo any police, character, health, or other checks required.
To be suitable for a Data Graduate role, you should have most or all of the following skills:
- Strong data technical skills.
- Robust communication skills and collaboration skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Most positions are available in Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. A limited number of positions may be available in Albury, Alice Springs, Darwin, Geelong, Hobart, Newcastle, Richmond, Robina and Townsville.
Roles are full-time, with potential for flexible work arrangements depending on your placement agency.
Managed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the Data Stream is recruiting more than 170 graduate roles across the Australian Government and Commonwealth agencies.
