About the Position: The Cabinet Maker plays a vital role in fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality custom cabinetry, kitchens, wardrobes, and other joinery solutions for Final Touch Joinery’s diverse residential and commercial projects.

Working from detailed drawings and client specifications, this position contributes directly to creating functional, beautiful spaces that meet the highest standards of finish and craftsmanship, helping the company maintain its reputation for premium, personalised results in the joinery industry.





Key Responsibilities

- Examining drawings, work orders, and sample parts to determine specifications.
- Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, laminates, and other engineered wood products.
- Marking out, cutting, shaping, and assembling components using hand tools, power tools, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines where applicable.
- Fabricating and installing kitchen, bathroom, and other cabinetry, wardrobes, counters, and fittings.
- Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves, and other hardware with precision.
- Ensuring all work meets quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.
- Collaborating with the team on commercial and residential fit-outs, including repairs and custom solutions.

Requirements

- Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Installation, Joinery, or any relevant field or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cabinet maker or in a related field.
- Strong technical skills in reading technical drawings, precise measurement, woodworking machinery operation, and use of hand/power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Valuable interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and understand client requirements.
- Physical fitness and ability to work safely in a workshop and on-site environment.
