We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our workshop team, specialising in the assembly and manufacturing of electrical switchboards.
About the Role
This position is primarily workshop-based and involves the assembly, wiring, and fit-out of electrical switchboards for a range of industrial and construction projects. You will work closely with our engineering and project teams to deliver high-quality, compliant products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical switchboards to drawings and specifications
- Interpret electrical schematics and layouts
- Carry out functional testing and quality checks of completed boards
- Assist with panel layout, component mounting, and internal wiring
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and project teams to meet deadlines
Safety Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for your own safety and those around you
- Follow all workshop safety procedures and company policies
- Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to continuous safety improvements
- Support apprentices and less experienced team members
- Contribute to a positive and team-focused workshop culture
About You
- Trade-qualified Electrician (Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent)
- Experience with switchboard building or panel wiring highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Robust attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Commitment to safety and quality
