Description
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people living with disability to join our Inclusive Employment Australia team. You will coach, guide, and empower young people to overcome barriers, build work readiness and secure sustainable employment.
your opportunity
As the Job Development Coach, you'll help young people living with disability build confidence, overcome barriers and achieve sustainable employment outcomes. This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role where you'll work directly with young people, employers and community stakeholders to create meaningful opportunities.
Your day to day will include:
- Conduct individual assessments and develop personalised job plans
- Create inclusive employment opportunities by engaging with employers
- Advocate for young people and support them into meaningful work
- Provide ongoing post-placement support to ensure long-term success
- Collaborate with internal teams and community stakeholders
- Promote youth-first, strengths-based approaches to employment
what we are looking for
You believe that employment can be life changing. You're motivated by helping others succeed and enjoy building genuine relationships with people from all walks of life.
While experience in employment services is not essential, you'll bring outstanding customer service skills, resilience, curiosity and a willingness to learn. Candidates from retail, hospitality, sales or other fast-paced customer-facing environments are encouraged to apply.
In addition, you also bring:
- The ability build genuine connections with young people, employers and community stakeholders
- A high degree of emotional intelligence
- An understanding of, or genuine willingness to learn about, the challenges faced by young people living with disability
- The motivation to achieve measurable outcomes, stay organised and work in a structured KPI driven environment
- Excellent administration skills for case noting and compliance requirements, digital capability and the ability to rapidly learn new systems and processes
- A positive mindset, great problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
- The ability and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
