About the role

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a part-time position with a reputable accounting firm? Shadow Accounting & Taxation Services, based in Kempsey NSW 2440, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our growing team. We offer flexible hours and the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as the business continues to grow. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of bookkeeping activities for a diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgers
- Process payroll, including calculating and remitting taxes and deductions
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports
- Liaise with clients to ensure timely and accurate financial information
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team as required

What we're looking for

- At least 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role,



preferably within a small practice or accounting firm
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, mainly Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with Australian taxation and reporting requirements
