Eagle Aircraft Maintenance is seeking an organised and dependable Store Controller to support our aircraft maintenance team at Bankstown Airport.
This is a permanent part-time position designed to be worked primarily during school hours, Monday to Friday. It will suit someone looking for a stable and meaningful role in which accuracy and organisation make a visible difference to the operation.

About us
Eagle Aircraft Maintenance is the maintenance division of the Basair Group. Our Bankstown hangar provides maintenance support for Basair Aviation College’s fleet as well as privately owned aircraft.
The maintenance team works in a highly regulated environment where accurate records, parts traceability, orderly stores and timely purchasing are essential to keeping aircraft maintenance progressing safely and efficiently.
About the role
The Store Controller is responsible for ensuring that aircraft parts, consumables, tooling and associated records are properly controlled and available when required.
The role combines stores management, purchasing, inventory control and administrative support. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer, licensed aircraft maintenance engineers, apprentices, suppliers and the finance team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- receiving, inspecting, recording, batching and correctly storing incoming parts and consumables;
- maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring parts remain identifiable and traceable;
- controlling serviceable, unserviceable and quarantined items;
- issuing parts to maintenance jobs and ensuring unused items are correctly returned to stores;
- monitoring stock levels and arranging the timely replenishment of commonly used parts and consumables;
- raising purchase requests and purchase orders and obtaining price and availability information from suppliers;
- coordinating the dispatch and return of components sent away for repair, overhaul or calibration;
- preparing work orders, work-packs, store issue documentation and other maintenance administration;
- processing delivery documentation, invoices, credit notes and vendor returns;
- supporting periodic stock counts and investigating inventory discrepancies;
- monitoring calibrated tooling, safety equipment and Safety Data Sheets;
- maintaining orderly, secure and compliant stores, quarantine and office areas;
- promptly identifying and escalating shortages, documentation problems or other issues that may delay maintenance; and
- contributing to a physically and psychologically safe workplace in which people are treated respectfully and feel able to ask questions, acknowledge mistakes and raise concerns.
About you
You will be well suited to this role if you:
- are highly organised and enjoy creating order and accuracy;
- have strong attention to detail and understand the importance of accurate records;
- can manage several priorities without losing track of follow-up actions;
- are comfortable working with purchasing, inventory or business management systems;
- communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and suppliers;
- are willing to ask questions when something is unclear;
- take ownership of problems and follow them through to resolution;
- enjoy being part of a small team and helping others get their work done; and
- can be trusted to work carefully in a regulated environment.
Previous experience in stores, purchasing, inventory control, maintenance administration or a similar coordination role would be valuable. Experience in aviation, engineering or another regulated industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, SharePoint or aviation maintenance software would also be helpful.

Hours
