Manufacturing Draftsperson | AutoCAD | Windows & Doors

NICCO is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsperson to prepare detailed shop drawings for the manufacture of custom timber windows and doors.

This is a technical manufacturing role, not an architectural design position.

Working within our Pre-Production team, you will convert approved project information, architectural plans and client specifications into accurate shop drawings ready for customer approval and production.

You will work closely with our Account Managers, Production team and other Draftspersons to ensure each project is documented accurately and progresses into manufacture on schedule.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Kingsgrove factory and office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare accurate AutoCAD shop drawings for custom timber windows and doors
- Interpret architectural drawings, schedules, specifications and project documentation
- Apply standard product details and manufacturing requirements to each drawing
- Review project information and identify missing, inconsistent or unclear details
- Coordinate drawing revisions and client amendments
- Liaise with Account Managers and Production to resolve technical issues
- Manage multiple projects and drawing deadlines
- Ensure drawings are complete, accurate and suitable for manufacture

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

- At least two years of recent, professional AutoCAD drafting experience
- The ability to read and interpret architectural plans, elevations, sections and specifications
- A robust understanding of dimensions,



tolerances and construction details
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage revisions and work across multiple projects
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work full time from our Kingsgrove office
- Experience drafting timber, aluminium or steel windows and doors, joinery, cabinetry, metal fabrication, structural products or other custom‑manufactured building products will be highly regarded.

Applicants whose experience is limited to conceptual design, 3D visualisation, university assignments or basic AutoCAD coursework are unlikely to be suited to this role.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a practical AutoCAD assessment.
