POSITION AD – LEARNING CONTENT SPECIALIST

Learning Content Specialist (12-Week Contract)

We are seeking an experienced and impact driven Learning Content Specialist for a fast-paced 12-week contract. In this role, you will help design and develop evidence-based workshops and practical program resources that form part of current child safeguarding program. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, work iteratively and translate complex child safety and wellbeing information, as well as policy frameworks, into highly practical content for the community sports organisations.

This is a unique opportunity to use your learning design expertise to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of children and young people in community sport.

What You’ll Do:

- Contribute to the development of interactive workshops on child safety and wellbeing topics, ensuring content is tailored appropriately for diverse audience (e.g. volunteers, coaches, parents, young people)
- Build comprehensive facilitator guides, presentation and participant materials to support future delivery of these workshops
- Translate overarching program goals into a practical suite of implementation resources, such as policy and procedure templates, activity templates/resources, guides, checklists




- Ensure all workshop materials and program resources are aligned with the Queensland Child Safe Standards and the Universal Principle, and embed principles of youth empowerment and trauma-informed practice
- Collaborate within a small project team to meet project goals and deliver high

About You:

- Tertiary qualification in Learning Design, Education, Communications, or related discipline, backed by demonstrated experience designing engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences
- Strong ability to translate complex concepts and policy information into learner-friendly content and practical resources
- Knowledge of social and emotional wellbeing, child-centred principles and/or trauma-informed practice
- Ability to use your understanding of the community sports sector and culture to design relevant workshops and resources
- A track record of working effectively and accurately and a willingness to adapt to evolving project needs
- Strong commitment to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of children
- Knowledge of child safety and Queensland child safeguarding legislation, especially the Qld Child Safe Standards and the Universal Principle
- Ability to hold and maintain a Working with Children’s Check – Blue Card
- Understanding of co-design principles for engaging community stakeholdersExperience in health or wellbeing education, community engagement or child protection spaces
- Multimedia/graphic design skills to support content development
