Product Manager

The Opportunity:

One of Australia's fastest scaling FinTechs is hiring a commercially minded, data-led Product Manager to drive growth across its lending products.

This is a modern consumer lender helping hundreds of thousands of working Australians manage short-term cash flow, with a second credit product recently launched and more to come.

Underneath sits an AI-driven decisioning engine built in-house, so product decisions show up fast in approvals, losses and unit economics. And it does it the right way: flat, transparent pricing, no late-fee traps, and multiple industry awards for ethical lending.

The Role:

- This is not a fluffy PM role or a glorified BA mandate. Product here helps decide what the business builds next
- Your day starts with the numbers. Approvals, conversion, losses, customer behaviour: you notice what moved, work out why, and form your own view before anyone briefs you
- You break the problem down, size the commercial upside, and turn it into requirements a lean squad can ship. Then you measure what it did and go again
- Reporting into the Head of Product, you'll sit alongside a fellow PM, designers and engineers. Nobody hands you a backlog

What you'll do:

- Own key features across the lending portfolio, from ideation through requirements, delivery and iteration
- Pull your own numbers. Use self-serve data to diagnose issues,



size opportunities, and prioritise what to ship next
- Write concise requirements, rules and edge cases for web and mobile workflows
- Partner with lending, risk, operations, marketing and analytics on business cases and trade-offs
- Keep lending protected, transparent and commercially smart, not just bigger for the sake of volume

What you bring:

- Strong experience as a digital Product Manager owning a core web or app-based journey, ideally an application, onboarding or origination funnel
- Experience in consumer lending, BNPL, on-demand pay, digital banking or other regulated credit products
- A consulting foundation is highly regarded. If you came through at a strategy or advisory firm before moving into fintech or a scale-up, you'll fit the shape of person this team backs
- Real operating experience on top of that thinking. You've owned a product, shipped things and worked directly with engineers, not just advised the people who did
- Strong commercial instinct. You can explain what your product work did to revenue, margin, quality or losses, not just to conversion
- Deep comfort with data. You interrogate what changed and form your own view before anyone briefs you
- High curiosity and low ego. You get into the weeds and don't wait to be told what matters
