The Role

As an Onsite Computer Technician, you will be the face of Geekify in the field. You will travel directly to residential and commercial client sites across Canberra to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a diverse range of hardware and software issues. This is an autonomous role perfect for a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives on human interaction and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Onsite Support: Provide rapid, high-quality technical support directly at client locations.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals.
- OS Management: Configure, upgrade, and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.




- Network & Peripherals: Set up Wi-Fi routers, network printers, smart home tech, and backup systems.
- Client Consultation: Explain technical issues simply, recommend preventative solutions, and identify upsell opportunities for hardware/software upgrades.
- Documentation: Accurately log job details, resolution steps, and parts used in our ticketing system.

What We Are Looking For

- Tech Expertise: Proven hands‑on experience in computer maintenance, hardware repair, and OS troubleshooting.
- Communication Skills: Brilliant interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex tech jargon into friendly, clear advice.
- Sales Savvy: Comfortable recognizing client needs and suggesting valuable upgrades, products, or maintenance plans.
- Independence: Highly organized self‑starter who can manage their daily schedule and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Mobility: A valid Australian driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are mandatory.
- Bonus Points: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certifications, or relevant technical diplomas.
