Due to consistent growth across our business, we are seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer / Workshop Planner to join our high-performing team in Wollongong.
This is a pivotal role within our service department. Berendsen Fluid Power operates a well-equipped workshop and machine shop that overhauls and rebuilds hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors, and is the base for a team of field service technicians providing breakdown and maintenance services to hydraulic equipment users throughout the Illawarra region.
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified graduate to learn all facets of the business and forge a genuine career pathway within this growing national company.
The Role
With training, mentoring and practical work experience, you will develop the skills and knowledge to undertake activities such as:
- Providing technical support to customers on hydraulic product selection, application, maintenance and repair
- Estimating and coordinating job workflow through to completion
- Preparing and presenting quotes and estimates for repair,
manufacturing and project work
- Visiting customer sites to build relationships and develop business
- Verifying hydraulic cylinder repair scopes, including material selection, modifications and manufacturing processes
- Supporting the commercially sound operation of the workshop while meeting customer requirements
- Acting as first point of contact with sales, customers, suppliers and contractors

About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A recent Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, or relevant hands-on experience in a similar role
- An interest in hydraulics
