We're looking for a male Disability Support Worker to support an adult participant living in the Burpengary area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building genuine connections while supporting an individual to live independently and engage in the community.

About the Participant

You will be supporting an active adult male who enjoys spending time in the community, including activities such as fishing, visiting the gym, watching football and pursuing creative interests.

He is independent with his personal care and values consistency, routine and maintaining his independence. Your role will focus on providing encouragement, practical assistance and companionship while supporting him to achieve his goals and participate in the community.

Solid communication skills, patience and the ability to build rapport are essential. While no Auslan experience is required, you should be comfortable communicating using written notes when needed.

Available Shifts

We currently have regular ongoing shifts available:

Saturday: 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Sunday: 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Additional shifts and hours may become available over time.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide person-centred support in accordance with the participant's support plan, including:





- Community access and social participation
- Supporting recreational activities and outings
- Assistance with shopping and attending appointments
- Encouraging daily routines and independence
- domestic duties and support where required
- Accurate documentation and shift notes
- Building a positive and respectful working relationship

About You

The right person for this role understands that great support isn't just about completing tasks - it's about building trust, being reliable and supporting someone to live the life they choose.

We're looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, patient and reliable
- Able to work independently
- Passionate about supporting people with disability
- Comfortable supporting community participation and active lifestyles
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Ability to complete required training before commencing employment
