About the role

In the vacation student Mechanical Engineer role, gain hands-on experience supporting the maintenance, reliability, and performance of mobile and fixed plant equipment across the mine site.

- Assisting with maintenance and reliability improvement projects.
- Support inspections of mobile and fixed plant equipment.
- Analyse equipment performance and maintenance data.
- Contribute to fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist with project planning, reporting, and documentation.




- Work with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment availability.

Program locations

Ernest Henry Operations, QLD. Located near Cloncurry in north-west Queensland, Ernest Henry is a world-class copper and gold operation renowned for its underground mining and mineral processing activities.

Roster: 5:2/4:3

- Included: Residential accommodation, site transport, flights at the commencement and conclusion of the program.

About you

We're looking for motivated students who are curious, hands-on and keen to grow their technical skills. You'll be:

- Studying mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in maintenance, reliability or heavy industry.
- A strong problem-solver with analytical thinking skills.
- A confident communicator and team player.
- Willing to live and work in a regional mining workplace.
- Hold a valid manual driver's licence.
