Key Responsibilities

- Operate excavators for detailed excavation, bulk earthworks, demolition, and material handling
- Conduct pre-start inspections and daily safety checks, including fluid levels, greasing, lubrication, and defect reporting
- Work collaboratively with ground crews to deliver excavation, demolition, stockpiling, and truck loading in line with WHS requirements




- Assess work areas prior to commencement, identifying hazards, soil conditions, access constraints, and material placement zones
- Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely, cleaned daily, securely stored, and maintained to company standards
- Monitor truck loading to ensure compliance with weight requirements and verify dockets with drivers
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and site managers, responding promptly to instructions and reporting issues
- Maintain accurate daily records and site documentation as required

Essential Requirements

- Valid Driver’s Licence
- White Card
- Relevant excavator operator tickets/licences
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating excavators on civil and demolition projects within Australia
- Solid understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently when required
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
