Duties
- Performing underground mining activities with a focus on installing and maintaining ventilation devices, strata support and roof bolt installation.
- Carrying out personal risk assessment, hazard identification and other safety requirements relevant to the role.
- Operation of plant and equipment used in an underground mining environment.
- Operation of vehicles both underground and surface.
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working workplace.
- Hazzard and safety awareness and reporting any potential hazards to relevant personnel.
- Adherence to the mine site safety and health system.
- Ensuring safety of self and fellow colleagues.
About you
- Demonstrated Underground Coal experience as an Operator is essential.
- Experience with a focus on Ventilation work is highly desirable.
- Training transcripts and/or qualifications & tickets.
- A passion for safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong passion for safety.
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Valid driver's licence
