An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced HSEQ lead/Manager to join a respected civil construction contractor. Reporting directly to senior management, you will take ownership of all Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training functions across the business.
You will be responsible for driving a positive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, maintaining management systems, leading audits and investigations, and supporting project teams to achieve outstanding HSEQ outcomes.
About the Role

You will be responsible for driving a positive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, maintaining management systems, leading audits and investigations, and supporting project teams to achieve outstanding HSEQ outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company's HSEQ strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and improve WHS, environmental, quality and training systems.
- Monitor and implement legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct company-wide audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage ISO accreditation and recertification processes.
- Develop site-specific safety and environmental plans.
- Provide technical HSEQ advice to operational teams and leadership.
- Facilitate safety training, inductions and development programs.
- Lead safety committee meetings and promote a proactive safety culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Formal Workplace Health & Safety qualifications.
- Current White Card.
- Minimum 8 years' experience within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance and risk management.
- Experience managing HSEQ systems and ISO standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong auditing, investigation and reporting capabilities.
- High-level Microsoft Office and computer skills.
