About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dental Practice Assistant Manager / Senior Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis at our Beachmere QLD 4510 location. This is a strategic role that bridges clinical support and practice management, offering an excellent opportunity for a dedicated dental professional to take on greater responsibility and make a meaningful impact on our practice operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting our clinical team, and maintaining the high standards of patient care that Beachmere Dental is known for.

Key responsibilities

Provide comprehensive chairside assistance to dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety

Manage patient scheduling, booking systems, and coordinate appointment flow to optimise practice efficiency

Oversee infection control protocols, sterilisation procedures, and maintenance of clinical equipment and instruments

Handle patient reception duties, including check-in, check-out, and managing patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy

Process patient payments, manage billing records, and maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical notes

Supervise and mentor junior dental assistants and reception staff, fostering a team-oriented and supportive team environment

Coordinate inventory management, ordering of dental supplies, and monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages

Assist with practice administration tasks,



including managing rosters, correspondence, and ensuring compliance with dental regulations

Support the dentists with treatment planning and patient education initiatives

Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming practice environment

What we’re looking for

Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a dental assistant in a busy dental practice

Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity, with the ability to mentor and motivate others

Strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and clinical best practices

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

Proficiency in dental practice management software and computer systems

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with patients, team members, and dentists

A commitment to patient care and creating a positive patient experience

Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

Experience in practice administration and reception duties is highly desirable
