About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Sales Consultant to join our team at our Castle Hill NSW location on a full-time/part-time/permanent casual basis. In this role, you will be the face of Decorug Castlehill, engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them towards the ideal decor and furnishing solutions. You will play a vital role in driving sales, building customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success and growth of our business. Key responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages browsing and purchasing
- Assess customer needs and preferences through active listening and consultation, providing tailored product recommendations
- Demonstrate product features, benefits and quality to customers, highlighting how items meet their specific requirements
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge across our full range of home furnishings and decor items
- Achieve individual and team sales targets through effective selling techniques and customer engagement
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals




- Keep the showroom clean, organised and visually appealing, ensuring product displays are current and attractive
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to support a positive and productive work environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Sales Consultant or similar customer-facing sales role in retail or a related industry
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and professionally
- Excellent listening and consultative selling abilities, with a genuine interest in understanding customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and performance goals
- Product knowledge and the ability to quickly learn and retain information about new products and services
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns with patience and professionalism
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage administrative tasks such as sales paperwork, in store quotes and transactions accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
- Flexibility to work retail hours, which may include weekends and public holidays as required
